It all starts with a vision…

When Danielle and I met, we were both kids with a vision…A vision to grow, to expand, to push limits, and to be the best possible versions of ourselves. We chatted, then chatted some more, and realized that our visions aligned perfectly. Once we knew this, all bets were off, and we couldn’t get enough of each other. You know, when you find “your person”, it truly is as corny as it is made out to be. You just know it. We started planning our future together after just 2 months of knowing each other, and the craziest part about all of this…We have only known each other for almost 5 years to the day of writing this post. It’s been an amazing ride, and I want to tell you all about it, but I’m sure you’ll get plenty of our story from the podcast. Let’s walk through starting with a vision!

What are some of the things in life that you have a passion for? Which aspects of your life are you wanting or wishing to spend more of your time in? What makes you happy, what fills your cup, blah blah blah…more of the same. I know it seems boring to hear the same old stuff used over and over again. Someone telling you that you need to close your eyes and envision yourself in success. I’m here to tell you that it just takes some brainstorming, along with connecting a few ideas together to make a plan. One way that has worked for us was the “word vomit” method. Where we just say things that come to mind, write them down, and start strolling down that path to see if there may be some validity to it. Some of this “word vomit” may just become some of the ideas for ways to monetize your life, and get you closer to making the overall dream of yours a reality! For us, that was to create time/financial/location freedom, in that order, for when we decide to have children. Our “why” is rooted in our family life, where we will have at least one set of our someday children’s grandparents about 10 blocks from our home. We want to wake up with our kids, have family breakfast and beach walks, and allow their grandparents to be a big part of their lives as well! We want them to spend some time with Grandma and Grandpa while Danielle and I crush a few short hours of work in coaching, real estate, general investment updates, etc (whatever happens to be at top of agenda on any given day), and then we can reconvene for more family fun/events in the afternoon! We want our perfect average day, and we want it now…not when we’re 65. So with that being said, there’s our vision! What’s yours? Tell us about it when you contact us and we will see how we can help get you headed in the right direction! :)

In Sickness & In Wealth,

Bret
