Some Days You’re The Rockstar; Some Days You’re The Groupie

Stuck. Lost. Confused. Frustrated…All things that we have felt in this journey, and am sure we will feel again. Marriage and partnership in life is a give and take, and some days just hit harder. It’s no secret that Danielle is an absolute rockstar in her industry, and has taken the region that we live in like a hurricane with how fast her business in real estate has grown. It’s true that people see genuine, flock to it, and want to be a part of something great…me included. I get to be the number one groupie for her, but that doesn’t mean I want to always just be backstage and never in front of the crowd. There are things that make us all happy, and seeing her succeed, expand, and succeed further is at the top of my list. I have spent much of the last 2-3 years being a major support role and will continue to do so, but am so excited to start making the time to actually practice what we preach, create an incredible teamwork atmosphere with talking about us, our journey, and the path we have taken to grow our income, both passively and actively. As I sit here and prepare for an introductory meeting with clients/friends this evening; I can’t help but think about this being a great step toward us standing on the stage together and providing the crowd with what they came for…actionable steps and a plan of attack for their goals. This sort of stuff gets me “all jazzed up”. It’s time for us both to FLY!

Danielle and I have our hideaway/getaway vacation in just over 2 weeks from the date of this post. This is a tradition that we have heard other successful couples do, and we are excited to give it a whirl! A vacation with just the two of us, a cozy cabin on a lake, and time for our minds to intertwine. This much needed time is an invitation to reset, revamp, remember, renourish, and CREATE! We plan to be intentional with the following:

  • Reset - our mind space, our diets, our bodies, our habits, etc. Taking a fresh approach.

  • Revamp - our systems, our technology, our processes. Making sure we are as efficient as possible.

  • Remember - our family, our friends, our networks…why we do what we do, why we are heading the direction we are heading, and why we work hard and play hard.

  • Renourish - our minds and bodies, through education and exercise/nutrition. We will fuel our bodies with food that uplifts us, we will fuel our minds with content that uplifts us, and we will fuel our souls with the time being present with each other.

  • Lastly, we will CREATE! - We will be working hard to create our first ever podcast episode, and take things to the next level from this blog. Our plan is to share about us, our journey, what has worked, and what has not worked so much, to help others from making the same mistakes! As we begin to reach likeminded people, we will work to provide valuable content to our listeners by way of industry experts, success stories, and actionable tips/tricks to accelerate your growth!

Cheers to having a partner who loves you…In Sickness and In Wealth.
